Scented Items For The Home

I love to keep my home smelling nice and I know it sounds mad but I actually enjoy cleaning! So here are some items that I use everyday in my home which smell wonderful!

I really love Jo Malone which is easy to find here in England and they actually have a huge counter in Harrods London. I can't get enough of the roses collection I make sure every bathroom has Jo Malone Red Roses hand wash! I get so many people tell me how lovely it smells when they use it.

I love in Winter time the Jo Malone Pomegranite and Noir Candle even when it is not lit it smells so nice! So I keep mini ones in downstairs toilet and bathroom.

This Next candle and diffuser in apricot blossom is in my hallway and downstairs toilet. It smells sweet and gives house a nice fragrance. It is also not very expensive the candle was £3,50 and diffuser £6. I don't always light it as I have children but it still smells great.

The Marks and Spencer Spray is a room mist that smells of lemon it is only £2 and freshens up the house after a clean.

Zoflora is priced at £1 and is something I use everyday in the home to clean. I use it down the toilet and in the sink. Once I have cleared away dinner I put a little down the kitchen sink and it takes the smell away. It also cleans the loo and leaves a lovely scent for summer my favourite one is the grapefruit. The linen I use everyday. You cam pick this up at supermarkets and your local B and M store.

My Hallway

Hallway Design My Hallway was very dark when we brought this house two years ago there was no natural light. This was because the front door had no glass or window and the walls were dark in colour. I went for pale grey with a blue undertone this makes the grey paint warmer. Having tiles on the floor means it can be a little cold so I did not want a cool tone of grey. I was going to use Farrow and Balls Elephants Breathe but I found this to be very dark. Although other Farrow and Ball colours I love such as Pale Powder.ere also a dark colour. The first thing we did was change the door to one which has glass. It is enough to let the light in but still provides us with privacy. Then we painted the stairs white as they were a very dark brown instantly this made the room feel more modern and brighter. April New Home Buys

April Here are my latest home buys I seem to have got quite alot from B and M stores which is always good as they are not too pricey.It goes to show you can make your home look nice even if you are on a budget. Hope you get some inspo! B and M mugs £2.99 I got the first mug for £2,99 and the second in the sale for £1! I have one for me and one for my husband. They look really lovely in the home and a nice change from all my Cath Kidston mugs and china. The tray was part of a christmas gift from Whittards the tea came inside t. I now keep the tray next to my bed. The vase is from the range they still have quite a few of these in the store. You can also use it as a bottle for display. March New Home Buys

March Faves Every month I will update my blog with new items that I have purchased for my home I will try to do this as soon as I have them so that the items do not sell out. If I see a similar item from another store if the item sells out I will link it below. As its almost springtime I like to have a good spring clean in my home! And this means getting organised. I also think as I have just had my second son that I was nesting! I decided I was sick of having to find keys all over the house. So I wanted to find a place where I could put all the house keys together. I eventually found this key tidy from Debenhams. The reason I like this one is that it fits on the wall out of the way and it also has a draw for extra keys. Although its a key tidy it still looks quite nice in my hallway. It is a little bit more pricey than some I have seen but I do think it looks lovely and does the job. When you have kids you really need a wall hanging key tidy so little hands cannot reach it! ...
