Winnie Pooh Themed Nursery

Here is my babies nursery I decided to do a Winnie Pooh theme and paint the room in this lovely yellow shade by Homebase called Sunlight. It is not a very large room so I thought the colour would lift and brighten the space.

The Mickey Mouse plays lullabies and hangs above my sons changing unit this is from The Disney Store.

The Rabbit Mickey was a limited Easter Mickey they do this also for Christmas it was nice to get one limited at the same time he was born!

The Winnie Pooh Changing mat and moses basket are both from Babies r us here in the UK.

He's only 4 months but I got these from The disney Store with the little slippers for winter. I actually love them so much! £20

B and M was the nappy stacker and they do bunting to match!

My Hallway

Hallway Design My Hallway was very dark when we brought this house two years ago there was no natural light. This was because the front door had no glass or window and the walls were dark in colour. I went for pale grey with a blue undertone this makes the grey paint warmer. Having tiles on the floor means it can be a little cold so I did not want a cool tone of grey. I was going to use Farrow and Balls Elephants Breathe but I found this to be very dark. Although other Farrow and Ball colours I love such as Pale Powder.ere also a dark colour. The first thing we did was change the door to one which has glass. It is enough to let the light in but still provides us with privacy. Then we painted the stairs white as they were a very dark brown instantly this made the room feel more modern and brighter. How Painting Furniture Transformed My Home

By painting some items in the home you can really transform the way that they look and bring an old pice of furniture a new life! Above I have used Crown Antique Cream to change and transform this dresser. I first started painting my garden furniture as I wanted to brighten up the garden and the table and chairs were looking quite tired. We do not get much sun here in England so its nice to add some extra colour with this paint. I did two coats of this colour by Cuprinol in Coastal Mist. Im so happy with the colour it feels very beauty and has really made the furniture look more polished. You may need to sand the wood first I did not have too. Then I wanted to paint the metal chairs and table in the garden as they were green but I wanted them to go back to white. Easter Decorations For The Home

Spring This time of year spring is one of my favourite times of the year, spring is when we know here in England that summertime is getting closer. No more dark nights and cold days but longer lighter days with warmer weather. My son was also born on the 14th of March this year so I now love this month even more than I did! Having children I now have two boys means that you start to embrace different times of the year like christmas and easter. Well as my eldest son is nearly three I wanted to this year decorate our home. It makes easter more exciting and another nice reason to celebrate. Also they can enjoy the easter egg hunt in the garden with my family. The best place I found for easter decorations for the home was TKMaxx it had an amazing selection where I live.
